Hi I’m Nick.

I was diagnosed when i was 12years old. I’ve just turned 45yrs old and lived a successful life . My seizures are very well controlled so long as i live within my own limitations that I identified through trial and error over the years. I’ve found the empathy from both society & the medical profession to be massively lacking and have self prescribed my meds to a minimal therapeutic level to minimise side effects. 99% of the time I live a full life. If i ignore triggers then my threshold will lower. An obvious and from my understanding common example would be drinking alcohol (only a couple of pints) on 2-3 consecutive days. I’ve joined this course and forum to see the thoughts and views of others either for my support or to offer it. i do get depressed sometimes and suffer from occasional mood swings. I find exercise particularly strenuous cycling to be of enormous benefit to my well being.
