Hi, my name is Abigail. I am delighted that this course is running. I had 5 seizures between 1997 and 2001 and then have had “dizzy spells” increasingly frequently when rushing around, tired or low on blood sugar or hydration. I became so worried that I might have a dizzy spell when someone was relying on me that I asked the doctor to prescribe some medication.
I now take 200mg of Lamotrigine every night. The Lamotrigine controls the dizzy spells fairly well, but my concentration and memory are suffering. I’m also getting migraines every 2-4 weeks.
I hope that the course will help me to understand how best to look after myself, in order to limit the effects of epilepsy and lamotrigine on my daily living.
