you should not be thankful for being affected by this brutal and unpredictable condition. The anxiety caused by the condition is a totally rational reaction to the fear of your own inescapable body. Do not feel shame. It chose you. fight back. Life well. Make good lifestyle choices and get fit. Very fit. if you’ve lost your licence get off road on a mtb.
Hope your meds are stable and side effects not too bad.
You have got to come to terms with it and a bit of anger and bitterness is al right just don’t let it dominate you character. I’nm 45 and had epilepsy since 12. it’s a daily battle but I’m winning. That wasn’t always the case. if you’re having one minor a month try to identify the trigger. Hangover/lack of sleep/stress/blood suger-diet. maybe you can reduce the frequency still further. All these things affected me which is why I now focus on healthy living alongside my meds. all the best with it Robert. You’re not alone.
