I have learnt loads from this section. I now think I have more types of seizures than I had realised. I had 4 tonic clinic fits when asleep over 3 months before I was diagnosed. I have had a partial abscence seizure during a work meeting. I have many myoclonus small jerks which can be clustered. Occasionally they have been larger and one made me sit forward as I felt I had been punched in the stomach. I became unwell with covid and these were like an early warning system to let me know I was coming down with something. They were everywhere including my face. I have had a couple of partial focal seizures when out shopping. These made me vague and feel I’m distanced from everyone else. I got a bad headache and felt I had to go home to bed and be safe. I slept for hours and felt terrible for the rest of the day. Sometimes I find my self absorbed in my thoughts and realise a period of time has gone and I haven’t moved at all. I now wonder if these are actually absences. I have noticed there are times I’m doing repetitive movements like touching my face on the same place or drawing squares on my hand with my finger. I am struggling this week as I’m having my AEDs changed and I’ve felt terrible since I increased my meds 4 days ago. Yesterday I had terrible headache and felt really disoriented and tearful. I thought it was because I had increased my meds but now I’m wondering if it was another partial seizure. I’ve had lots of stress this week. I’ve got lots to talk to my epilepsy nurse about.
