After brain surgery last year to remove a large meningioma, I had a massive seizure: jerked for about 20 minutes. Couldn’t walk for some hours. > A&E.
Focal Clonic continued – every few weeksfor 6 months and seemed to tail off over the year but then suddenly returned in July this year. Now increasing in severity and frequency. Two more trips to A&E.
I have myoclonic seizures ranging from mild to sharp shocks that make me cry out – much like an electric shock.
I could cope with those, but also have focal clonic seizures. No warning, just thrown to floor convulsing. Injure myself and husband! Always aware – brain feels like it’s on fire. Not nice. It’s limiting what we feel safe to do.
Understandably, it’s more dificult thean usual to navigate the NHS, so trying to help myself via this course and forum.
