Hi I am Liz, 51, married & mother of two. Diagnosed with epilepsy approx. 11 years ago.
I developed epilepsy as a side effect from having a vein abnormality in my brain. I had treatment to remove the vein but still suffer with the seizures. The seizures have reduced over the years from approx. 4 a month to 4 during the year. Also switched from absence day seizures to nocturnal seizures. Did get my licence back 2017 only to lose it again within the year due to having a day time seizure. Lots of things have happened this year, both parents passed away, looking to move house & manager left work with no replacement on the horizon. Currently struggling with anxiety about memory loss & how it is affecting my job now as having to cover more tasks with no one to remind me of things. There is some good news as have reapplied for my driving licence so fingers crossed!
