Hi I am Amy,I’m 36 and got diagnosed with epilepsy 11 years ago. I have tried lots of different types of medications but none seem to stop the seizures, so was given the option to be reviewed if surgery could happen, unfortunately where the damage is if the completed surgery I would loose all of my memories and I suffer with that enough already. I had VNS surgery 4 years ago and it’s really helped with my grand mal seizures but not my complex partial seizures or absence seizures. So still trialing medication for solve them.
I decided to complete this course as even though I was diagnosed 11 years ago I would like more information about managing yourself as it sometimes can get a bit much. I started a new job 2 years ago and in the last 6 months they are not dealing with my disability, emotions and side effects from a new medication I’m trialing very well, so I would like to be able to prove to them I’m trying to help myself and want to be able to keep my job.
