Hi, I’m Tricia I am 62 years old. I was diagnosed with epilepsy 31 years ago. I was 31 years old at the time, I had a son 2 years old and a baby, we had just moved house into a new area. So with all that stress my epilepsy started. I have temperol lobe epilepsy with mostly partial seizures. It is well controlled now and most of my seizures mostly happen at night. I have given up driving many years ago as I don’t get warnings. I was pleased to read the positive words about this course in Epilepsy action. My main worry at the moment is more memory loss and having difficulty completing a sentence without having to get someone to fill in a word. I also mentioned to my consultant that I would say the wrong word (with no connection with the subject). Not sure if this could be lack of concentration
My scan is due and has been offered to me quickly because of this. I will be anxious that it is not early diamentia!!! Hope we all get something from this course. I have had a good life up to now with a very supportive husband and family. Take care,
