Hi I’m Judith and turned 50 last year. I had my first tonic clinic seizure in October last year which came out of the blue. I felt neurologist dismissed me a bit until results of EEG and quickly placed me on meds. My head has felt so much better since being on meds. Clearest it’s felt for years. I also have fibromyalgia and take gabapentin which is a low level epilepsy medication so wondering if I have been having seizures of some sort for a few years which have been masked by that medication.
I hated losing my driving licence and after having a t/c seizure the other week and regular myoclonics, I am hoping to get this under control so I can be independent again.
I’m looking forward to finding out more about epilepsy and what it means to me and how I and my family can work to support each other with the changes.
