Working through this section has made me more aware of the many risks that are around my home and when I am outside. I have only recently been diagnosed with epilepsy after having two tonic clonic seizures. I feel that the sudden changes that I have had to make in my life has left me feeling sad and less independent. I was never a lover of driving but having that choice taken away from is not a nice feeling. I find when I am walking back from the supermarket with far more shopping than I intended to buy extremely frustrating. Feeling that having my independence and choices taken away from me is one of the hardest things to swallow. Having to wait until someone is with me to have a shower or a bath, having a bath was my ‘me time’. I am applying for my bus pass this week and looking in to getting a railcard.
