The problems that I have with my memory, they do affect most aspects of my life. I have a calendar on my phone with alarms, so lots of little things I won’t even bother to remember myself. To be honest, it’s almost like an extension of me, because part of my memories are just on that phone – I hope I never lose it. In terms of studying, I just have to do more studying because I really need to drill in the stuff that I have to learn, because I do forget a lot of things. I just put more effort into remembering things. There are methods to improve your memory, you can research methods actually. And if you put the effort in, they will stick. So when you’ve had a seizure, and you’re feeling fairly blank, instinctively you can remember some things. It does take time though, so you’ve got to be quite determined, and don’t be too hard on yourself if it takes a while to come. Because, you’re fighting against quite strong effects really. It’s almost like you’re fighting against your brain. But you’ve got to say to yourself, you’re going to win.
