I used to have partial focal seizures. So, I would get very confused, I’d maybe rock, and I wouldn’t be aware of what I’d said or done after I’d come out of them. They’d vary in length – they’d probably only be one or two minutes long actually – I’d get very confused and I’d talk gibberish. I’d talk about a square peg or a square hole, which was completely out of context. And then afterwards I’d always want to be going somewhere. I’d be very confused when I was coming out of my fit. My friends used to have to tell me that my husband was coming to collect me. Then I’d be fine and I’d sit down and wait. But otherwise I was off. So, for instance, if I was walking down the road, or on a bus – which has happened – and I had a fit, and of course I’m off, so I just get off the bus and go. And when you come out of it, you don’t know where you are, because you’ve walked down the side street or something. Nothing actually caused them, I was unusual, the fact that it wasn’t photosensitive or anything like that, there was no set cause. If there was a stressful event, I could have quite a few in a week, but then I might go two or three weeks without anything at all, then just have one, or four… there was no pattern at all. So it was very difficult to plan.
